thats a silly argument imo… eat mcdonalds for a month and youll die too, inject one droplet of nicotine into your bloodstream and youll die too, breathe pure car exhaust and youll die due to the fact that the O2 has been used up in the combustion process and no longer is available for your lungs to absorb far faster than youll die of toxins.
the CO2 produced in combustion just happens to be great fuel for trees :shrug:

no, pollution is real. companies dumping chemicals into rivers, nuclear waste, mercury etc…
but ridiculously low amounts of CO2 and NOx produced by a car is not going to have the drastic effects that everyone thinks it is. :shrug:
