Shift knob keeps coming off…

You don’t need to slam into second so hard. You can “properly” shift the car, and do it just as fast without having your shift knob come flying off.

So, like I said before, I think you should take this opportunity to learn to shift properly. If you can shift just as quickly without pulling the shift knob off, then you are going the right direction.

say i hit the gas from 1st and i’m at WOT…then i shift to second…when i shift …the knob comes off…as easy as that…and remember…i’m at WOT so i’m sure you can imagine how i am shifting at the time…

being at WOT doesn’t really make any difference in how you handle the shifter.
