ok well my mom has a 01 audi A6 Quatro. And it wont pass inspection because both catylic converters r bad. And i kno that junkyards cant sell them 2 u because it is against the law to sell them. and i was wondering if any body had any pull at a junk yard 2 get them or if someone could fab up some aftermarket cats. because i dont think they make aftermarket cats yet for this year. if anyone could help i would appreciate it alot. Volkswagen has a reflash for 99-01 Passats for being overly sensitive and throwing fault codes for catalytic converters when they aren’t bad. We don’t deal with Audi at our dealership but it may be something worth looking into…sure beats a 2-3K cat fix. ---

Thanks chris, it’s actually in Wheeling though…WHeeling Vw as for aftermarket universals, I would be pretty surprised to see one that fit…they are on a curved piece of pipe sandwiched (tight!) between the engine and firewall…tight enough they have actually caused a few cars to catch fire. OP - Did you even look into the reflash? ---

yes i looked into the reflash. i can get the light off for a couple mins but then it comes right back on. and it wont pass when the light is on. Thanks ---
