Ok so my dad’s nissan altima is making a whining nose when you turn the wheel. The noise seems to be more present when turning the wheel and foot on the gas. When breaking the noise almost completely goes away but on the gas again the nose is back. I believe it is the power steering pump but that is just a guess. I have never had this problem with any of my cars so I’m really not to sure. It’s definitely not a wheel bearing or ball joint. I believe the problem is within the pump or rack but am open to suggestion.

Thanks
Bryan

Check the fluid level first.

Fluid level is good, first thing I looked at.

I agree with it being the pump.
