# '04 Accord Coupe V6 Question...

My buddy has a '04 Accord Coupe, V6 w/ the Auto (yeah, I know: p00p). His car is limited to 115mph and he wants to remove that. The car isn’t going to be modded much (he’s going to do a cat-back and CAI and that’s it) so it doesn’t need a full custom tune or anything like that. He just wants a chip or tuner to get rid of the limiter and maybe give him a couple HP. So what’s he need?

he would need a new tune only one problem you cant reflash the new honda computers as far as i know
i would tell him to try hondata they might be able to help

I do believe the dealership can reflash the ecu to take away the speed limiter.
as for Hondata they only cover the Accord up to 01.

but will they do any warranty voiding though?

oh yeah forget about that warrenty shit. I wouldnt even touch the ECU if its still under warrenty. I think the dealership my mom works at sometimes Flashes ECUs to see if they have been tampered with when people bring there cars in

Wow, so there’s nothing aftermarket that can be installed/uninstalled for warrenty work (either a chip or handheld programmer)? That’s p00p.

accords arent exactly high up on the tuner market
