ah… could the meth be an issue?

i’d like to see him on low boost with just pump gas… i wouldnt go balls to the walls at the track just use it as a tool to figure out your launches, which seemed decent for all that power, and to figure out why she breaks up, or falls on her face. From a roll same thing or no?

Mike is right, just pump and meth. And Swifty, from a roll she takes off like its no one’s business, but I’m not sure about falling on her face while shifting though since most of the time we get on it, we’re about to crash into the car in front of us and were on the breaks before the next gear. :lol
I know Josh said he gave her a good beating on the way home from Moon though, and I’m sure if she was doing the same thing then it would have been taken back, or he would not have run it last night. :sad

> So, just got back from the track and I am beyond disapointed to say the least. My best time was a 13.06 @ 116mph. The car just fell on its face after every shift. No matter how fast or slow that I shifted there was a good 1/2 second delay. The car pulled real hard once it picked up but with the lag in between shift it sucked. And to top it off, I believe i fucked up my throwout bearing :headbang The clutch now grabs about 1/4" from the floor and its hard to get the car in gear unless the clutch is pressed as far down as it can go, I’ve had this exact problem before and it was the throwout bearing. Sorry for the rant…I’m just aggrivated.

Sounds not good ☹

The trap is good for 11s which is a good indicator. When you fix this problem and stay in boost, your traps will go up. Then, just make the ET align.

Also, not sure what the issue is but did you try doing test runs after the tune on the street which is real (dyno is not, you are moving on rollers)? It could be something small so no worries.

Correct, I run 93/alcohol @ 29psi all the time as thats the only map on the AEM that I have. Right now there is no on/off switch for the alcohol, if i got a tune for just 93 and low boost I could probably just pull the fuse for the alky system. From a roll the car pulls clean and hard, no misfire, no breakups. It just happens when I’m shifting fast at high rpms (7500-8000rpms).

I run a colder set of plugs along with a sun auto ignition amplifier. Still on the stock COP setup.

Just thought Id post back in here about Justins old MR and what it runs…Joe just sent me an email in regards to the new turbo stuff arriving, but also to let me know how he ran at the track no long ago. And I quote:

**"In other news, I took the car to New England Dragway up near me tonight. Compared to Justin's runs - I think NED might use crisco for track prep. My BEST 60' all night was a 2.1! Of all of the people I lined up against, the best I saw was a 2.0. There was a guy with a turboglide RWD talon that cut a 2.35, so I know the track was like ice.**

The good news is that even coasting through the traps (ran out of 4th gear, couldn’t find 5th all night) on a 2.1 sixty foot I was trapping 115 on “low boost”. So it looks like the power is still there, I figure that would have been a 118-119 mph on a real launch and staying in the power, which sounds about right. The “bad” news is that was also my best run with a 13 flat - so sad!"

i know for a fact that you have to MUSCLE the car into 3rd and 4th gear from any shifting point(worn shift rod guides). I also know the the RWD talon he was talking about was my buddy Scott Glassbrook and if that car didn’t hook then the track was most definitely ice.

just reference stuff. New turbo kit going on after I get back from Vacation and finish up all the rest of the stuff here…yay!

**UPDATE** Just got back from ICS Performance in CT where Al from Dynoflash retuned my car. The car layed down 569whp, I’ll post up the dynograph later (just got back from a 3 hour car ride and have been up since 5am). Needless to say, the car is amazing right now, drives great and made some additional power without having to raise the boost at all. ;D
