they are both 5 X 114.3
but the offset is diff
evos have 38mm offset
and stis i dk
i found like a few diff things and i didnt know which one was right

well u can go higher and lower than the said offset, depends on how far you want the wheels to stick out/in.

and with an sti offset on my car what would it look like?

why don’t you and layzie take a wheel off and swap to check things out? If he wouldn’t I’m sure someone else with an sti would be willing to help you out.

05 sti wheels are 53mm offset (googled it).

ha we were thinking about switching for like a week
but we weren’t totally sure if it would work

your wheels would poke like crazy on his car, you would need some pretty srs spacers for the wheels to fit right (strut rub would prob occur) on your car if I’m reading that correctly and all the info is right.

You’re gunna need a pretty heavy duty spacer… no go for the direct swap.
edit: jam beat me to it. and apparently (according to EvoM) you’d have to bore out the hub to get the studs to stick out far enough to thread the lugs

lol I get strut rub with my stockers. Running 9 and 10 inch wide wheels soon should be tons of fun

sti’s have fucktarded wheels ☹
hard to find the correct fit for them… and thus, wheels that fit on them don’t fit correctly on much else

I’m running 18X9JJ ET+42 on my sti. That’s a 6.153 backspacing and 2.846 frontspacing
OEM Evo wheels are 17X8JJ ET+38. That’s a 5.496 backspacing and 2.503 frontspacing.
So the Evo wheels will fit on an STi (assuming the hub is right), you just need to run a ton of camber on the sti (i am running -4 degrees and replace all 4 tires every 4000 miles) The evo would need a spacer (14mm at most), and longer wheel studs to run the sti wheels.

no, the centerbore is too small… the offset is also way off. I have tried this personally with some ASA winter wheels that were made for the STi

I use the wheels I bought for the Evo on the Allroad with wheel adaptors and spacers.
The hubs don’t matter because the spacers take the hub size out of the equation.
Maybe this would work on the STI.:gotme:
