who runs the summit things? maybe we should contact them and tell them “you have an import section, and a muscle car section…make an nyspeed section and we can guarentee 20 or so more cars…and better cars at that…a week…” it’d be cool being recognized as our own category…and i think we could pull it off… ---

even the worst of asshats on here that regularly post and show at the meets dont compare to some of the stories of asshats and their cars that usually show at this summit park meet… if i can get enough of a following for my idea, i’ll take the time to call 103.3 the edge or whoever else is involved with running the event, and see what they would be willing to do for us… ---

I would still say no… If you want to keep this board at a clean level w/out any more bs drama that is already on here. i would not suggested putting the word “nyspeed” and summit park mall cruise together. ---

we’ll let the mods decide then, it is their place to run, and if they do not want the name out there i will stop dead in my tracks…but i still think it would be fun. most of the idiots end up posting stupid shit and getting them selves perma-banned right away anyways…nik pearl was a perfect example…he had his fun for one thread, gave us a good laugh, and now he’s gone… plus a lot of the people at these summit park meets that are the asshats we want to avoid, i dont think they would even know how to use a computer…and that you’re just being over paranoid Dos… plus i think it’d be even more cool to get NySpeed a little more recognition…maybe next time A&E can do a special on us rather than Toronto street racing, where the “king” only ran a 12.1 :lol: ---

i talked to one rep from the edge who somewhat liked the idea…and then was told to leave a voicemail for another guy, so i did so… just trying to see what i can get done, but if they do agree to allow us our own section, i will not finalize it until i get word for the go from a mod…and only then will i start a new thread taking votes trying to see who would be in for sure ---

Akron car show on thur nights i believe 6-9 or 10, mostly ol muscle cars lil town nice crowd. :tup: PandJ SpeedShop cruize will deff be a hot item this year as well, ill get more info on it. Lancaster and NYI drives to the track are fun. im looking forward to it all. ---

Kustom Workz get their own spot but they also give lots of cash to 103.3 for commercials and sponser the event…we just need to find another really good spot for meets this year ---

^agreed and for the backroads cruises, i think the general idea is to mot get to far from buffalo, in case, lets say, someone blows a crank seal, drains the oil pan without noticing, and has to get flatbedded home, so the farther south we go, the longer it takes to get drug back home broken, and the more bored cops we run the risk of bumping into also ---
