so what options do you really have with an sr automatic converter? You changing stall speeds? …or did you frankenstein some heavy tranny to it? ---

well, today was not so good. playing the convertor game. tried to loosen it up, but it got too loose. was still pulling 1.5 60’s, but was weak from 330 out. best today was a dismal 11 at 120. went back to the hotel, and pulled the tranny/convertor in the parking lot. re-shimmed the convertor to make it tight, but left the fins straight. hopefully that gets it done. figure we need to be at 9.5’s w/ this car to be competitve. w/ the stick, i feel we will hit that mark no problem. but want to do it w/ the auto, as it will help out later down the road when the bigger engine goes in. on a side note, orlando speed world is not that nice of a track. never seen such a lax tech in my life. atlanta drag way is not that nice either. silver dollar in reynolds georgia is a bad ass track. a nice prep track, and no anything else. small announcers tower. was almost something out of old black and white movies. so far, keystone was better than 2/3 of the tracks. so be grateful for what we have. im off to bed, gotta be back at teh track in 2 hours. have private test and tune w/ all the nhra cars. as the gator nationals are this wekeend, and they are running a t-n-t from 9-5 at 100 per car. ---
