# 10/27 and 10/28 Open track @ Lime Rock

If you want?
I doubt many people on this board follow under the want catagory, but probably **need**. The extra $20 is required if the student doesn’t hold a competition license.
Car preparation pretty much the same as auto-x.
But here is everyone’s favorite…
> **NOTE: Lime Rock Park is a Muffled Track!!!** Lime Rock has no tolerance for loud cars. EMRA will be testing cars in the paddock. Maximum decibel limit is - 83 dBA, measured at 50 feet, 1000 RPM below redline. Track management will be measuring noise at various spots around the track throughout the day. They have not been shy about black-flagging cars over noise issues. If you are found to be too loud while on track and cannot quiet your exhaust after one-attempt; you will be asked to park it for the day. There will be No Refunds. Come prepared.

What kind of info do you need to know. Most of the information that you will need is on the website. Lime Rock is located on the Northwest corner of CT, near the NYS line.
fairgentleman Z is correct, you do need an instructor if this is your first track experience.
