# '11 STi \> G8 GT

ran from a stop light, he was solo, I had 3 passengers.

Took him from the start up to about 80ish and he was gaining on me pretty good, but we both let off due to upcoming obsticals. We ran 4 times, got him everytime but by the 3rd or 4th run he was constantly gaining on me. ☹

All I realized is I need to make this car faster,asap.

Downpipe and a tune and you wont have him gaining sp fast 🙂

Nice. Those G8’s rip lol.but yea ^exhaust components and a nice tune it’ll fly.

Stock Sti’s don’t have nearly the top end of LS cars, even with the weight of GTO’s and G8’s, they keep pulling as the speed climbs. They trap like 103-105 stock, so especially with three passengers you’d get creamed up top.

Good kill though, I know STi’s are hole monsters but I probably would’ve guessed it would be even with you having 3 passengers. It’s not like the guy could mess up the launch being an auto car, plus it’s a 6 speed auto and the car has 385 lb-ft. The 2.92:1 rear end gears don’t help though.

I agree with the exhaust tune route, plus STi’s sound so good. But all he would need is a cam and that tune wouldn’t mean shit.
