Buffalo Police say the 13-year-old girl was arraigned Saturday morning on charges of arson and second degree murder. Police say she confessed to setting the house fire that killed her step-grandfather. Vince Fairfax, 43, died in a house fire on Sprenger Avenue in Buffalo Friday morning. His wife Gennie and her other grand children got out safely. “I can’t think of anything, honest to God. God is my witness. Anything that would make her do that, to take another person life,” said Gennie Fairfax, the girl’s grandmother and Vince Fairfax’s wife. Gennie Fairfax does not believe the girl set out to kill Vince. “She wasn’t targeting just him. She was targeting everyone in the house because she went from one room to another,” she said. Gennie says the fire not only cost her her husband of six years, but her relationship with her grand daughter as well. “She destroyed herself, and she destroyed me in the process. She took two things away from me, my husband which I can never get back,and she took the love from me that at this moment, I cannot give to her,” said Gennie Fairfax. Buffalo Police have not released the girl’s name. She will be tried as an adult. -Can they do that? tried as an adult? ---

what imaying is that they could easily be refing to Vince Fairfax as a grandfather, when hes realy the girls grandUNCLE its not uncommon for granduncles/aunts to be refered to as grandfathers/mothers ---

Dear people, Please re-read the story where it clearly states that he was a step-granfather… Meaning that he married the girls grandmother. It doesn’t say the grandmothers age, so speculating about age is entirely pointless. So pipe-down, and get back to talking about what a crazy psycho the little girl is. ---
