Alright, Some people are running 300zx MAFS, wwhich is a VQ30DE, which happens to be the same engine that is in my brothers 96’ Maxima. Would I be able to use a Maxima MAF, it looks identical to the 300 MAF. and I have a spare just laying in my room 🙂 If anyone happens to know, Hit me up 🙂 ---

You can use it but youll need to tune it. The motor in the 300zx is the VG30de or VG30dett the maxima is the VQ30de. If you plan on putting that on your sr20det then you will 100% need to tune it. ---

not the same … u know ur car isnt going to be faster with another maf right? ---

Isn’t the Maxima MAF (N60)? vs Nissan 300ZX (N62) each Maf has a certain capacity of tuning potential according to the output of power made from mods and tuning, depends on what goal your looking for. I believe the Maxima mafs are good for upto 350hp whereas the 300zx mafs can offer 500hp+. ---

Uhhhhhh, Maxima has the Vq30de as well just so you know :), and yea i was just wondering cause i have a spare maxima maf. Im running a SOHC 240sx maf on my 180 :S. So i think anything would be better. ---

yea, we know. Its still a different MAf from the 300zx. And if your staying stock or close to it theres absolutly zero reason to change your maf, the sohc one is fine.
