No.

> The **GMC Typhoon** is a high-performance version of the [GMC Jimmy](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chevrolet_S-10_Blazer) [SUV](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sport_utility_vehicle). Produced in 1992 and 1993, the Typhoon was based on the 1991 [GMC Jimmy](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chevrolet_S-10_Blazer) [SUV](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SUV).
> Both the [GMC Syclone](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GMC_Syclone) and Typhoon (_SyTy_) trucks featured a Mitsubishi TD06-17C/8 cm2 [turbocharger](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turbocharger) and [Garrett](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Garrett_AiResearch) Water/Air [intercooler](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intercooler) attached to a 4.3 L _[LB4](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GM_Vortec_engine#LB4)_ [V6](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/V6) [intake manifolds](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intake_manifold), fuel system, exhaust manifolds, and a 48mm twin-bore throttle body from the 5.7 L [GM Small-Block engine](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GM_Small-Block_engine). All SyTy’s had a [GM 700R4 transmission (4L60)](http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=GM_700R4_transmission_%284L60%29&action=edit&redlink=1) 4-speed [automatic transmission](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Automatic_transmission) and a [BorgWarner](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BorgWarner) 1372(Syclone)/4472(Typhoon) transfer case splitting torque with 35% forward and 65% to the rear wheels. Both trucks featured [all-wheel drive](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/All-wheel_drive), upgraded brakes, and sport modifications to the standard suspensions. Unlike the Syclone, the Typhoon featured an air-operated [self-leveling rear suspension](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Self-levelling_suspension). Output was officially 280 hp (209 kW) and 360 ft·lbf (488 N·m), but some stock Typhoons have been measured at over 300 hp (224 kW) on a [dynamometer](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dynamometer).[_[citation needed](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Citation_needed)_]
> The Typhoon was capable of accelerating from 0-60 mph in 5.3 seconds and could do a quarter-mile run in 14.1 seconds at 95 mph (153 km/h). _[Car and Driver](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Car_and_Driver)_ was impressed, comparing the Syclone’s performance favorably to the [Ferrari 348ts](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferrari_348), [Chevrolet Corvette](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chevrolet_Corvette), and [Nissan 300ZX Turbo](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_300ZX). It cost [US$](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/US$)29,970, though the magazine criticized the plasticy interior pieces.
> All three trucks were built for [GMC](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GMC_%28General_Motors_division%29) by [Production Automotive Services](http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Production_Automotive_Services&action=edit&redlink=1) of [Troy, Michigan](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Troy,_Michigan). Aside from a handful of prototypes, only 4,697 Typhoons were built by GMC: 2,497 in 1992, and 2,200 in 1993. Unlike regular production Syclones, Typhoons were offered in various color configurations that differed by year, with black/black being the most common.

Stock trucks put out 300whp and 400wtq and were very underrated from the factory. My bone stock Ty ran a 13.5 @ 98mph.
