helllo sonners, im debating a new project. maybe someone can talk me out of it or. help me with this fun money pit.
so here it is…
thinking of getting a RX7 1993+ with out motor. and swapping in an sr20
need your advice and maybe some more information on this swap…

not sure if many people have done that on SON. But my best guess is to go on RX-7 forums, SR20 forums,[build-threads.com](http://build-threads.com), and zilvia is a great resource as well!

lol. If it’s for fun, why not. but I hear the rx-7 doesn’t drift well (a miata drifts better than it at least…)

^ you’ve been misinformed. I know Joe from RPM was doing this swap, not sure if he ever finished it. From what I recall the biggest problem is making a custom oil pan to clear the FC crossmember

I know of one running around locally. As KA24power said, a complete 1 off oil pan had to be made.

Most reliable RX7 out there. And i say that knowing people with properly built 13Bs.
Nissan reliability has spoilt me. Suspension parts for the FD is alot more than your average S chassis though.

The car wont be a drift whore. im planning on finding a veilside kit for it.
any motor but rotay is fine with me, what i really need some some advice on a powerplant for the car

i was planning to do something similar to this but instead i got a mortgage and a shit box s14 LOL
if you’re going to swap in a new motor other than a rotary in a FD then go hard or go home.
2JZ x FD3S = MONSTA
tech2 has EVERYTHING you need. even the hood (a 2jz wont clear a stock hood)

iif any thing go with a 1jz (YAMAHA made) or v8
