I purchased this car on here last October as a DD, since my commute was increasing to 60 miles round trip.

It is a 1997 eclipse RS, 5spd w/ 165,XXX miles, 2.0L 4cyl.

Pros:
33 MPG’s!!!
Starts up every time, no issues
Shifts great
Pretty solid, little to no rust on body, very minimal under
Clutch is tight, no slips or slop
Completely stock - never appears to have been molested

Cons:
Dents and dings
Interior is in Fair condition
Diver side lock doesn’t work from the outside - I just wouldn’t lock it or I would use the pass side to unlock it. may free up with some PB Blaster?
Passenger window had a tendency to drop off out of the track, never had the motivation to get it fixed since I didn’t use it anyway.
Dash lights are out - but I have an LED hooked up so that you can read the gauges.
Stereo flickers every once-in-a-while, doesn’t effect sound, just have to mess with the face plate to bring it back to life.
'96 front bumper - don’t know the story, it was like that when I bought it.

New within the last 5,000 miles:
Both CV joints
ALL 4 struts
Right front lower control arm
Front rotors and pads
Rear shoes
Heater core - was a pain in the a$$ to replace by the way
Thermostat
Coolant and break fluids changed

Needs:
Left front bearing
Right tie-rod end (I believe - there is a clunking in there sometimes)
An alignment
(2) tires (see below)

Reason for sale:
I bought my wife a new car, and her focus was in better shape, with a more solid history behind it, so now I rock the Focus as a DD - Don’t need the eclipse anymore.

Since the alignment was out, the front tires are at about 20%. . . The car comes with a set of stock aluminum wheels with (2) good tires - other (2) are shot. The rear tires on the car are 90%, the good (2) on the other wheels are 80%.

The inspection is up in September, once the bearing and tie-rod are fixed, I don’t see any reason it wouldn’t pass inspection.

Asking $1,200 or best offer.

I may be interested in some interesting trades - motorsports, construction equipment/tools/trailers. . . .

Now on to the pictures, more available upon request - I need to find the time to get the interior cleaned out.
