# 1998 Ford Ranger, 4.0 4X4, 5 speed

Bought this thing as a beater/run around truck. I have too many other projects going on, and I can’t leave any of them alone. I’ve put a decent amount of time and parts into this thing, I was dailying it for a while.
The body is pretty rusty, but the frame is solid. Has a Borla catback, trailer brake controller and the rack looks newer among some other front end parts. In the last 1000 miles I have:
-Installed new tires on 16" Explorer alloys (have another set of wheels and tires to go with the truck)
-Ultrasonic cleaned OEM injectors + fuel rail and orings
-Flushed fuel system and installed new fuel filter
-New y pipe
-New shocks in front and rear
-Oil/filter change
-Spark plugs + wires (Motor craft)
Truck runs good and passed inspection last week. (good til March 2017) Has CEL for an evap leak at the moment and the ebrake needs adjustment.

Do you have any pictures of the body rust? I get it’s a $1600 truck but can’t tell how bad it is from the CL photos.

I do not. The fenders and quarters all have rust on the edges. The one rocker is bad as well as the cab corners. The floors are good and overall its solid. I can get some more pics, but the truck might be sold in a few hours, lol.
