I am born and raised, and still in Riverside, and I got to say…the neighborhood has really detiorated a lot. It’s tough, bec. I’d like to see it turn around and get better again, but I don’t really see that happening. It’s sad to watch something once nice fall to pieces, and then see that nobody really cares. ---

i kinda read your statement as: “When faced with being hurt, there are two types of people. People that hurt back, and people who back down.” so i’d rather be able and willing to hurt if necessary than get hurt. what if there was a draft and you had to join the military. you just gonna stand around and get shot/shot at? what if someone breaks in your house and has a weapon. are you gonna get stabbed or shot and die, or will you shoot them first? again don’t get me wrong, i never go out looking for trouble. but i don’t think that assholes who think they are better than all should be allowed to keep acting that way. aside from the fact that there is no way i will let them belittle me, i think it’s ludicrous and just assenine that they would be acting like a dick to everybody, for no reason. reminds me of one of my fave memories from HS. jr or sr year, sitting in the cafeteria before school starts. myself and badazz z/28 are sitting kitty corner at a table so we could see everything, just hangin out and observing. to our left is a table of 7-8 smart “nerdy” kids… to our right is a table of 7 or 8 “asshole” HS kids. for about 20-25 mins, the asshole kids are just completely berating the nerds, saying shit, challenging them, throwing food and milk/juice containers, grabbing their books, etc. WHY? thats just stupid. they wouldnt do it to us though, b/c they knew we wouldnt go for that. so something happens, maybe a milk carton redirects our way, and we flip out. (of course the anger has been building inside, just b/c of their ignorance). mark instantly jumps up, runs over, and challenges the whole table. “you want to fuck with them, huh? well lets fuck around now assholes. come on you fucks, lets do it right now, who wants to fuck with us now???” the whole table shuts up and backs down, except one kid who is like… what are you gonna do, lalala… mark proceeds to flip him upside down on his chair, strangling him, shaking the shit out of him, and it took 2 others to get him to stop. i woulda done something if need be, but he had it all under control, hahaha. THE POINT IS: we never saw that shit happen again, at least not when we were around. AND, before the FBOD hate comments, this was way before either of us had one, so the FBOD does NOT aid in determining one’s attitude/mentality. lol to go along w/ what 91mr2 said, you really would have to have lived in an “ok” neighborhood, and watch it fall apart over the last 10-15 years to understand. i lived in riverside for 13-14 years or so, but after we moved to the burbs’ i still had friends and family there. it was disgusting then and only getting worse. and sometimes trouble does find you, that’s why you should be ready for it. > [@RedGoober4Life](#): > > When faced with being hurt, there are two types of people. badazzss i agree totally with you, i would fight someone in a heartbeat if it arose. I remember a thread awhile ago about someone actually grabbing a knife with his bare hand because they attacked his gf… and thats exactly it. When the moment is there, it doesnt matter. Attack or be attacked, or walk away and let it happen again, but that one time that you defend yourself (or your significant other) then you have the confidence to know that in a situation like that you can handle your own. ---

FYI, all the information I have says no gang relations, and it was mostly teenage girls causing all of the problems and fighting. Apparently it all began because the theaters were at capacity, so they were asking some people to leave. ---
