# 2001 custom Victory motorcycle

I shot this bike at the end of August, the intent was to get it in a magazine - but no such luck. Its a different take on a Victory motorcycle, the exhaust is unique and actually sounds really good. Its not obnoxiously loud while it still retains the V-twin rumble. The rear fender was cut down and on some angles it does look odd, but being that its a soft tail it needs room for suspension travel. The controls, speedometer, and headlamp housing were also switched out. Its a clean bike, something I would classify as a useful street machine.
The location is a local scrap steel yard, since the owner of the yard knows the bike builder quite well we had the place to ourselves after they closed. I could spend all day looking at the stuff in that yard, from old buses, trucks, engine blocks, to a “castle” built from old oil tanks and items laying around that they melt steel in. Quite the place.

At the risk of being punny, I’ll say that your pictures are a WIN. Great location. Maybe this would be better in a PM, or next time I see you, but were you professionally trained? Or is this your hobby?
I love the overall shape of that bike, and the exhaust isn’t terrible, but I think the big obnoxious heat shield kind of kills it. Just like the husky chick I met online last week, I’d ride the shit out of it regardless of looks.

Professionally trained is something I am not. :rofl I learned by doing, which involved taking thousands of photos, learning from my mistakes, looking at others work, and always having a drive to do better and learn more each time. As I have said many times, I feel that I am far from anything good and no matter how good you think you are; there will always be someone thats better.

LOL, the exhaust actually doesn’t look bad in person, its CF and goes with the CF headlamp housing - once you stare at the muffler enough, its just that bit off off the wall uniqueness that makes it work. Almost like a sport inspired cruiser. The rear fender is what bugs the shit out of me, I hate that huge gap but he even said himself that he was limited as to what he could do with it.

I agree about the fender gap. It’s a sweet bike none the less
