>
> but every bike i rode (i rode liek 6-7) gets hot sitting around, thats just how bikes are…

> if it actually got to 250 thats not good, it shouljd get to 220-240 then the fan should kick on and lower the temps somewhat or stablize them at least…
>
> I would change the coolant for sure and like travis said change the TS because the bike has some miles on it plus been sitting etc etc

> good luck on the bike dude ! and yea drinking + driving = soooo bad but drinking + riding you can’t possibly be serious

It hit like 254, and the temp icon started flashing so Ryan turned it off. I was riding it slowly around his complex, and then I was letting it idle for a while. So who knows. But still 250+ is not good.

I just talked to my tech out back… seems that he is a certified suzuki tech as well… who knew?.. says it COULD be the temp switch that screws into the top right side by the radiator as well… so either fan, fan relay, temp switch, thermostat, wiring, low/no coolant coupled with the extended idling… if you let it get TOO hot it could warp the head as well and give u a HG leak… just keep an eye on things and we’ll be glad to look at it for you.

yea it seems like the fans arent coming on, because if u dont feel them pushing air, when your standing still, u should feel some air come out of the sides/front of the bike if you have it just sitting it there, but eya dont let it get over 250 that is fucked up…

Ryan said he is going to check the fans out when he gets home… hopefully I will know by the end of the night.

I think it just needs a fluid change. Ryan said he started it tonight and the fan did indeed kick on and keep the bike around 220. Probably just old fluids that need to be changed… I hope, lol.

Bike is leaking coolant from near the radiator and seems to be almost out of it. So much for riding to work today. ☹

Added coolant today, it kept the bike cool. The radiator is leaking on the bottom left side (if you are looking from the back of the bike). I am going to take it somewhere and see what they can do. I am probably going to need a new radiator. :headbang

Give us a call at 441-7967. We might be able to help you out tracking down a radiator.

Just called. Whoever I talked to said he will call me back tomorrow… I asked if he knew if the 00 rad would fit on my 01 and he said he had to call me tomorrow after he looked it up. :confused
