# 2001 vw passat 1.8 t  hard starting

Has the issue been resolved? I got my battery from Advanced Auto. Sears and NTB dont have any that will work.

as for batteries… all vw batteries are through interstate. i work at a vw dealership as a technician… the reason your car might be havin a problem startin is cuz your maf sensor. you may wanna replace it. if that dont fix it, you may wanna check your vacuum hoses… theres a common hose that begins to tear since its a peice of shit. its located towards the back of the motor… it has 3 openings and shaped like a “Y”. Make sure there isnt any tears or holes in it.
