ok well i talked to him more about it and im not really sure what hes talking about so if anyone wants to go take a look at the car with me this weekend lunch is on me im most likely going to buy it just because of the fact that I could probably easily get my money back if its anything major. ---

This is probably a dumb question. But how long do recalls last for? and how would I go about having a recall done? Im pretty sure I just call a dealership with my VIN and see if they did the recall on it and if they didnt do I bring it in for them to inspect? Will they replace the whole motor even if its 8 years old.
