Well my buddie got a 06 sti it runs dam good but had some problems recently.
He hit a deer and the shop had to put a new radiator and from what i hear they did something that made the motor shit the bed… So he gets the car back with the motor fixed yesterday and while driving it starts to make a lound noise like someone stuck metal in a fan so while driving it today to where the tow truck was to get it the noise stops and it was just running on the motor no turbo at all like a bone stock 2.5 kinda crazy i thought

does he have a fmic on it? if so then he probably sucked sumthing up into the turbo

too bad the fmic is after the turbo, if that was the case it would have gone into the motor. that is probably why the motor shit itself. and the turbo was probably already comprimised at that point. sucks either way

No fmic just mostly stock only hks blow off valve and hks cat back thats all but it off to subaru so we will c whats up with it

If subaru sees that blow off valve. He is screwed. Put it back to stock asap.

I did that all yesterday put the stock exhaust and the stock blow off valve on before the tow truck got here

1st mod I’d do on any car BOV for the ricer effect :doh:
Even when my car gets fully modded turbo the whole nine yards you will never see me put an aftermarket BOV on it
Oh and sounds like you had something damage the turbo and then go into the engine
