I wouldnt say that exactly… I mean, how many trim packages do they offer for the titan? what engine options? duellys? suspension packages for towing needs? trims for payload?
I do agree… that the titan is a decent truck… the tundra on the other hand is a little sketchy

Yes, it really gets a REAL American off that they are driving an AMERICAN MADE product that increases our dependence on foreign oil…I mean makes a positive statement that they support America and its habits of overconsumption…I mean companies.

No, but it has more to do with buying cars that fit your lifestyle. Such as purchasing a Taurus wagon and not an Excursion. Or an Uplander and not an H2.

You do realize that gasoline is just a very small notch in the belt as far as oil is concerned. You own a computer? Guess what? You’re supporting the Middle East… Your car has plastic in it? Guess what? You’re supporting the Middle East
Shit… you could even get further into than that… you like carrots from tops/wegmans? Guess what? (And I can keep going, but I assume you get the point… EVERYTHING from manufacturing to agriculture to plastic needs oil). That’s just the way it is… gasoline is a very small percentage of oil compared to everything else that never seems to get brought up. buuuut, according to you, I’m gonna buy a Japanese car and feel good about myself?

The titan came out 4 years ago as a brand new truck. The american companys have been making them since the beginning of existance, i predict in the next 5-10 years, we will have at least 3 engine choices one deisel, a dually, and a bunch of other things. Designing new things take time

Actually, your first reply to me had nothing to do with what I said. I just let it go because I figured you would eventually see the point I was suggesting. However, I can now see that is useless because you believe that we can’t seriously impact their market by reducing how much oil we buy from them. Okay. Fine. And it may be true–I’m not an expert on the subject, but I’m sure we could at least have SOME impact given how large of a chunk the oil industry is to their market…
I just thought of something funny. You know those anti-middle east stickers? Do you think that they also contain petroleum products originating from that area of the world? kfdsahfdshfshahahaha

I know :)… hence my “they are made in texas” comment 😛
and I’m with you… just a matter of time before they start offering other options/trims. But that doesnt take away from the fact that they cant compete on that level as it currently stands… and thats only one compeditor.
dont take what I type the wrong way… I do think their nice, but I just dont see them taking down the big 3’s trucks and time soon
