saw them on UBRF…damn y cant i be rich so i can buy one…
Prevailing rumors have the car taking on a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V-6, itself derived from the engine in the 350Z. Power bogeys put the mill in the range of 450 horsepower and 370 pound-feet of twist. In true Skyline fashion, the car will be all-wheel-drive, with a further evolution of the GT-R’s electronic ATTESA ET-S torque-sensing system, tied into a four-wheel steering system.

from the numerous things i’ve read in magazines and such, early estimates have put it in the $70,000 range as it is meant to be a direct competitor with a porsche 911 and the new Z06
how it will fare against both is up in the air… however the rumour mill has been buzzing about how the new GT-R will turn a faster lap around nurburgring than the new 911. correct me if i’m wrong but i forget what Gen. Skyline stomped the stock 911’s course record at the 'ring, i think it was either the R-33 or R-34. and i believe it won by over 2 seconds

The roof line on that car looks like absolutely shit. They should’ve continued the BNR chassis.

i agree…but with Lotus helping out the suspension and Cosworth helping on the motor it should be a contendor…the FM chassis is pretty good…but yea I miss the ol BNR chassis

I have no doubt it will perform like a son of a bitch, I just dont care for the new styling. I suspect a black one, with black tinted windows to hide the roofline will help with my opinion a lot.

+1. It looks like a fat 350z/G35. Part of the appeal of the old Skyline to me was the boxy fender flares (same reason I like the wrx/evo). I think it’s more likely to be a destroked 3.2 rather than a 3.8 though.
