Why is hot dog eating on TV? Obliviously someone wants to watch it and some sponsor wants to pay to have their name associated with it. The 2009 event is not on TV yet, this is going on currently. ---

The producers edit together alot of entertaining hands & plays out of ~100 hours of play. :fyi: ---

I swear last year some time I flipped past FOUR channels with poker being shown at the same time. Ill reiterate, I do LOVE playing hold em but ill take almost anything on the discovery channel or one of the 5445665 other stations people have available these days over it. But thats all ill say about that as this topic is not about “TV poker,” rather just competitive play itself. ---

My co-worker is sponsored by Full Tilt and placed in a few of the smaller events, he brought me back one of the WSOP chips from one of the tourneys he was in. He had the option to play in the ME but decided not to. He said it was def crazy out there :tup: ---

A friend of mine cashed the past 2 years. Last year i think he finished 56th and cashed about $120,000. It was a lot of fun keeping track. I don’t think he made it past day 2 this year though. Was weird seeing him on espn all the time. ---

My buddy is one of the beverage directors at the RIO so I’ve gone down there a few times to watch some of the live action and have a few drinks. My god is it boring to watch live. I hope your brothers friend does well. :tup: ---

Well he made it to today, but now in last place so 64 of 64, but as long as he makes it to 63rd he wil make $108,047 ---

Looks like he got knocked out in 55th. Making it to Day 7 is not a bad run.
