its weird to think ford is taking the 2.3l ecoboost and dropping it into multiple platforms RWD/FWD/AWD and Models like the Mustang! which will be my next vehicle after I buy a house next year and the fiancé almost picked up a ST but got a CR-Z instead but showed her the RS so I think she might trade in the Honda for one lol

p.s. she’s a Honda/ford fan girl lol

cause ford hasn’t been that type of company to put time into a motor that isn’t a V8, they haven’t put a turbo engine into anything since the 80s-early 90s with the SVO and Probe in the US. which we all know didn’t work out vary well for them! Yes the SHO AND ST have been out for years but that’s only a couple submodels not half their line up like with the addition of the mustang, F150, GT and fiesta RS(rumors) but if sales go better then excepted who knows how far they will take the ecoboost, maybe ecoboost Voodoo engine? which would be exciting. Europe has a 1.0l 3 cylinder ecoboost engine which rumors are US will be getting that but haven’t heard anything concrete. maybe a salesmen at a dealer can chime in!

@B5Swag585

Expect more of this in coming years from the Auto industry. With ever stricter emmisions and economy regulations, most manufacturers are looking towards lower displacement FI to get the job done.

Ford has been killing it lately. If I can step into a base model in the low 30’s, I very well may just jump ship!

1.0 ecoboost 3cyl has been here…it’s the base engine for the standard fiesta.

Looks great unwrapped! Posted the spy shots on here back in December [http://www.nyspeed.com/showthread.php?281915-Ford-Focus-RS-coming-to-the-US](http://www.nyspeed.com/showthread.php?281915-Ford-Focus-RS-coming-to-the-US). Hard for me to say this being from a gm engine plant family but, Ford has come out of nowhere within the past few years.
