2022 WNY-SCCA auto-x (Ralph Wilson Stadium) Schedule

One last thing, I saw a post on the Facebook event page there would be loaner helmets possibly available. Would I be able to use one? Mine and everything I tried to obtain don’t meet the Snell requirements.

Never mind, got my answer on the FB

Yes, you can use the loaners, that’s what they are there for.

Thanks, just registered

Just wanted to thank everyone who helped me this past weekend, I had a blast! Learned a ton and have plenty to improve on. I should be in for the next one too

2 week and 2 day day notice:

Sun June 26 - Event 2 @ Ralph Wilson Stadium

And please bring your “shit box”, we’ll tech inspect, place a small sticker on your windshield, and then direct you to a special parking spot called “grid”. There you will wait in line to drive your car faster than “nice” cars.

Mmmm… loaner helmets on hot summer days. “How come this one is so wet?”

Hmm… I might need this in my life.

This Sunday, SUNDAY, SUNDAY! One day only!

You’re not ready for endurance racing.

Day 2, 21 hours in;
9:00 a.m. Driver B:
“How come this driver seat is so wet?, Man everyone must be sweating pretty bad.”

11:00 a.m. Driver B to Driver D:
“Man, everyone is sweating bad, the seat was soaked.”
“Yeah, Driver A was nervous and drank three cups of coffee before getting in.”

Flash back to 8:00 a.m. Driver A to Team:
“I’d like to come in now.”
Team, confused, he’s only been out there for an hour???
“What!?, nah man, stay out, you’ll mess up our pit stop schedule, we can win if you stay out.”
“But, I’m ready to come.”
“We’re not ready for you, Driver B isn’t even dressed”
“But…”
“STAY OUT!”

This is a friendly reminder that if you are planning on attending Sunday’s event, you should pre-register online ahead of time.

Even if you are just considering coming, please spend the few minutes to pre-register.

It doesn’t hurt to sign up and not show up, but it does help us out a ton if you do.

Any plans for a T&T/Novice School?

Not at the moment. Between Buffalo, Rochester, and National Events, the schedule is really full as it is and finding a time where there would be either enough students or enough workers (or both) was seeming more and more unlikely.

There are a few different school options in Rochester if you’re interested.

There will be a regional Falken Tire contingency program for WNY-SCCA. There will be tires for both regular and Novice. Details to follow, give me a couple days, I just wanted to get the word out as it is tire ordering season.

The RT615K+ has been refreshed this year with newer compounds, they are $100 off on a set of (4) on tirerack.

The FK453 and FK510 are good “less serious” tires.

Next Sunday, April 23rd, Event 1.

One of the better introductory videos that I’ve seen:

Who really cares about mother’s day anyways?

This Sunday May 14th, low attendance = more runs?

I’m going i hate my mom lol

I was sick last event and was too out of it to put together that the only guy driving a GTO was also the guy on nyspeed that had a GTO and was saying that he was going to the event.

Bump for Sunday June 4th.
