# 240sx 89 ECU transplant to 93?

i got a 240 ECU from an 89 240 automatic. im thinking of transplanting it to my manual 93 240. did anybody did that??? would that work?

I’m pretty sure the automatic to manual is no problem (actually gets rid of the speed limiter I believe) however not sure if the SOHC to DOHC is an issue

Im pretty sure it cant be done

try it though and tell us what happens

or just use google and find out for sure.

oh forgot to tell you that i still have to install a reflashed chip to the 8 bit ecu of the 89 before installing it to my 93… now would that work?

start with finding yourself pinout for each ECU

from there you should be able to make the adjustments to the harness.

I couldn’t tell you for sure if it will work, just want to point you in the direction I would take.

just buy an ka24de ECU …20-40$ and go from there…🙂
