so i know i’m never gonna live this one down, but i still think it’s worth posting… comin down road XXX, i see some ass in a red sunfire pull a u turn in front of me, go a bit over the curb like into a driveway, and just floor it…and then continue to get on and off the throttle quite a bit, flying around a car and what not…driving like a total ass… catch anything wierd yet? yeah…i was able to SEE that he was flooring it…in a sunfire…usually you can not tell if they’re coasting or WOT, so right away i’m like wtf is up here… catch up to him, he continues with his on and off the throttle escapade, and i hear a slight sound of whistling/hissing coming from the car…yet another “wtf” moment… pull up next to him, kid shoots me a wierd look…i shoot one right back, and we catch a light, i take off normally just because i’ve seen many cops in this area, and he does the same… (yes…a HE in a red sunfire…another somewhat “wtf” moment…) he gets a car or two behind me, and i’m watching my mirror the whole time, next thing i know he just lets it rip…i throw down to second and floor it…top of second into third i check my rear view mirror, naturally…expecting to see him busses back…but he’s not there… :gotme: i look around for a bit, totally confused, still on the throttle pretty hard, and can’t see him…until i look over to my right, to see him hanging right at my back corner, as i barely can put a car and a half on the kid from 25 or 30 up through 70ish…at this point, i literally said out loud, “what the fuck?!?” about top of third he lets off, as do i…and we catch a light and roll down the windows to have a little chat. turns out the guy has another toy that he wouldnt disclose too much info about…not that i really cared to ask much about it, and he also told me the sunfire was just a beater that he built up with forged internals and was spraying with a 100 shot…he said he likes seeing people’s faces when they almost get beat, or do get beat by a dude in a sunfire… :jawdrop: very very belittling and somewhat demoralizing experience for me…but :tup: to him, even though it’s a sunfire, it’s still something different and relatively quick, which is always a cool combination in my book ---
