# 305 engine and T-5 Manual Tranny

I’ll be removing a 305 carburated engine out of my 86 iroc within the month along with the T-5 Tranny that is connected to it. There is about 83k on both, they are original and never rebuilt. Just thought I’d let anyone know that was interested. PM me an offer or for price.

i thought 86 was the first year for tpi’s in iroc’s

1985:
The top offering under the hood was the brand new TPI 305 which boasted 215 horsepower and 275 ft/lbs of torque. This was the most powerful 305 automatic ever offered in the IROC. The 190 horsepower HO 4bbl 305 and the standard output 155 horse LG4 were the other available motors.

g body king knows his iroc stuff… but ya the 305 tpi was optional and in the model i have the 305 HO was the option taken.

you probably have the same motor as my SS the L69… except i think in 86 they have center bolt heads

how much and what is the casting number on the block
