There was a press thing a couple years back when I worked in walmart electronics that VIZIO bought out the controlling stakes in Sony… ---

The info Boost Creep posted is outdated. They design their TV’s and have them built by various manufacturers (which depends on size, technology, etc). They are pretty good quality. The Sony rumor comes from the fact that the gentlemen who started the company worked for Sony. AmTran Technology of Taiwan produces some of them, they also own a 24% stake in Vizio. ---
