Pshht photoshop, I kid I kid… is that real? LOL

> Own a high-performance supercar but want to ruin its ride and handling? Well Kumho has just the thing for you! Presented today at SEMA were these new ultra-low-profile 15-Series “performance” tires. Available only in 385/15-22 size for now, they’re...

damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

Edit2:

50% shorter than a 275/40

WTH!!! The world has gone mad!!

Edit 3:

I just calculated this…

22" = rim
profile = 385/15 = 57.75mm = 2.27"

22"+2.27"=24.27" tall tire!!!

That’s shorter than even a 285/30/18 which is 24.8" damnnnnnnnn. Our tires are suppose to be 25" by the way.

So technically with the right offset and wide enough rear body we COULD fit it bwahaha

Edit: If I didn’t f up my calculation lol but whatever still amazing.

talk talk, how bout this, wire a 2jz and make it idle and run. if you can’t do that. stfu 🙂

THIS GUY has spend all his time on the part of the car that counts the most. the motor. MADE hp, and BIG DIRTY TIRES, = serious business, nothing else really matters. NOT JDM wannabe poser.

i quote PUR’s RX-7 “i don’t give a fuck, how they do it in japan.”

Oh wait I messed up hahahaha

> There are 2 sidewalls if you want to calculate for overall diameter.

> So it’s really 57.75mm x 2 (for sidewalls) + 558.8mm (for the rim’s diameter) = 674.3mm.

> 674.3 / 25.4 = 26.55" or 26.6", give or take .1" due to tread height and stuff.

What proof is there that this car is even making power? 10lbs…please. MapECU…give me a fcking break.

The car is slapped together and looks like poop with almost no actual function.

While I agree the 2j is an amazing motor with untold potential, this guy is not making 700hp and is certainly not even scaring those big tires.

I think turboner’s point was, everyone is attacking a car, which is common on son240 from time to time, yet most can’t put one together.

Dan you just broke dudes heart !!! what are you gonna say about my piece of shit

“While I agree the 2j is an amazing motor with untold potential,” DA 1 is??? DAN can you PLEASE finish that sentence for me…LOL

I think the dude had a good picture painted in his mind about the car when he started the project or bought the wheels lol but like me he just ran out of money. i truly think with the right man behind this project/a 240(s13/s14) it can look baller with 335`s of even bigger

but i got to agree with you tho the tires should sit under the car…porsche for example is 1 of the best handling cars n also make mega power when modified and the wheels do fit properly under the car.

That car was not slap together, and yea that car not making 700hp @10psi, we have one off the fastes 2jz cars in the crew and he made 828whp @ 31psi. The price is not bad for what you get. I wonder how much the rims cost.

"What proof is there that this car is even making power? 10lbs…please. MapECU…give me a fcking break.

Umm, If you know how to make a stock ecu work (-eprom+socket+some sort of chip burnner etc) you CAN make alot of hp.

You don’t need a viprec or whaterever the newest stand alone sytem is. just an understanding on how the factory ECU works.

Tuneing shops have been doing long ago before Power FC, AEM, and other stand alone systems were available.

I’ve first hand, seen a RB25 motor, running in a 240sx with an 300ZX ecu.

…DSM’s that run 10s with an eprom chip, Safc, and meth. DA1 can vouch for this. Its not rocket science(he still using my 1000cc injectors?) lol

What ECU came in the Buggati Veron? 1000hp. No AEM

and for the record, i rather drive that than my car. FUNCTION over form. want somthing pretty? go buy some pretty jewerly.

Aahmed, no one said they wouldn’t fit, remember, Sandra had 315s in the back. People are griping because the rims don’t fit properly under that particular car.

Notice the one you have has fenders which completely cover the tire, also remember, that a 335 is almost an inch wider.

Thanks, but a MAP ECU is non of those things…it’s a cheap piggy-back that I have personally seen do a pretty piss poor job of controlling an engine. I have nothing against socketting so I have no idea wtf you’re talking about. Before you get preachy you’d better really understand what you’re taking about.

ohhhh kay, Buggati Veron. come with Bosch made ECU. like most German cars get OEM… right? Or do I have to correct the bosch rep. I talk to last month?

MAP ECU, “MAPed ECU”(eprom) “Re-MAPed ECU”(eprom) ooooooooooooopssssssssssssssiiiiiiiiiii

Any ways, im sure its workin fine if the engine hasn’t blow up yet…

</div>

then again i think its kinda easy to make any motor as big as the bugati veyron powerful on pump gas, and also reliable (huge displacement,16cylinders and 4turbos) on a FACTORY ecu,just my opinion tho… i could be wrong…

Dan on the other hand i wouldn`t trash the mapecu, lots of guys use it and it works or i should say it does the job... for example (a kid with an integra typeR thinks its the shit until he gets a ride in a M3) likewise a tuner like yourself have gotten alot of exposure in this business to better ecm`s like AEM,MOTEC,VIPEC etc systems that are far superior to piggybacks and eprom ecu`s, so naturally your expectations would be a lot more demanding. its like getting a ride in a 200whp car after you`ve been in lots of 600whp not even 300whp will phase you.

It wont take TOO much more to make that car look good with those 335`s… it definately needs a wider wide body,maybe a rear diffuser along with a full bodykit and paint job to match and it would probably make it in some car mags…

Fine fine, 2JZ swaps are the coolest swaps you can do in a 240. Much cooler than an RB26 or LS1. There, you happy now?
