I would have thought that too, but there was no water in the block. And no water at the tailpipe. Do you think it still could be a head gasket? either way it’s getting replaced.

now why would i do a smart think like that? :bash: Even though that was my plan for two days, get it running, do a compression test, then pull it.

What can I say, some times I’m a dumb fuck…

I guess I could still do it though, I mean technically is is still bolted to the mounts. The torque converter is disconnected form the flywheel, and the intake is off. ( pulling out the top as suggested in the Haynes manual) But I guess i could still do a half ass-ed compression test.
