Just finished mine up, the mouse clicker app is nice. I set it to 5 seconds, and just had it click through the chapters while I watched netflix. The test questions were pretty easy. Yay, I saved 38 dollars every six months… ---

Waste of fucking time. Geico upped my rate almost to the penny the amount saved by using this. Unbelievable. I wish their coverage wasnt so cheap. ---

New 6 month premium comes out and-- yup its the same as it was before my discount. I complain and they say “rates are going up for everyone due to increased claims”. I have nothing on my record before anyone asks (no claims, not as much as a parking ticket) and ive been with geico for over 5 years. Just looked…it actually went up a dollar. Was 82.41 before discount, and is now 83.45 after discount. Edit: Just called to complain again, and they gave me the “everyone’s rates are going up in the state” lecture again. I’m sure I was not the first person to have called based on how quickly she rattled it off. Probably because of the hurricane. ---

My issue is that I applied my discount the month before it was time for renewal. Would have been better to apply it right after a renewal–as I’m still not convinced that they didn’t just up my rate because they got 200,000 people who submitted this class because of slickdeals and know it was bullshit. I think its dumb that my “5 year good driver discount” is 30 dollars but my “defensive driving discount” from this bullshit aarp course is 44 dollars. Discount for pressing the next button for 8 hours is higher than me not costing Geico a penny for over 5 years? I’m pretty pleased with my rates-- I have 2 cars (one with full comprehensive, 100/300, glass) for 990/yr. I’m 24, single, no assets. I could go cheaper but I would feel bad if I killed or maimed someone and they only got 50 grand.
