# 69 Camaro resto - It's ALIVE! - no 56k

Update…
I stopped by the shop today to check the progress. The passenger side bodywork is pretty much done. He was going to finish off the driver side most likely today with the roof to follow.
It might get it’s forst shot of color this weekend! 🙂 The firewall and engine compartment is slated to get painted first. And the engine will be dropped in very soon [:p]
He picked up a gallon of the color (2004 Corvette Electron Blue).

Just enought metallic in it, but a BEAUTIFUL color. I can not wait to see it on the car.
It may get the major dose of paint on next Saturday of all goes well.
I have been working in the garage on all the smaller parts. Cleaning up the engine compartment wiring, repainting parts, finishing the door panels off. And the interior should be reupholstered by the early part of next week.
I should have a ton of update pics in the next few days with the car getting closer to completion. Hopefully the weather holds out for a bit so I can put some miles on it. [8D]

Electron blue looks awesome in person… A slight metallic and a great shade of blue. I was drooling over the paint lid when he was showing me 🙂
Viper blue is nice, my friend painted his Vette that color but it doesn’t have the “pop” that I’m looking for.

You honestly think there is a chance in hell I’d be bringing that car to UB? 🙂
If anything, I’ll probably get the “I’m not looking” from my public safety friends and do anmassive smoke show along the outer loop…
I went to go check it out again and even put a spot of paint on some tape… drooooool. The color is going to be awesome. Possibly some paint on the car by next Wednesday and then paint the majority of the car next Saturday. I’m camping out at the show as much as I can since it’s that close to getting done.
Funny thing is the amount of attention my car has been getting. People stop in the shop every day to check it out. My painter has his winter full of jobs lined up already. Wait til the car is done.

Good point, I’d be fearful enough of taking a rusted out honda there. That still won’t change the deep down fact that I love domestics. 🙂

hey joe, does your car have chrome wheel well molding and the quarter louver? its seems like you do. my g/f dad has nos chrome louvers, and chrome wheel well molding. he brought it in 1982 but he has a base z28. he told me it was a x77 dz motor? i dont know what that means but if you were looking for the chrome louver and wheel wells molding let me know pm me. he has a ton of stuff that he brought for the car and never had a chance to put it on the car. everyting he has he brought and stored it.

2004 GM Corvette Electron Blue Metallic. 🙂
Firewall was painted and cleared tonight as well as some misc parts.
Motor possibly goes in on Saturday. Full body gets paint throughout next week.
I’ll add more pics to the gallery later tonight.

The rest of the paint throughout the week, stripes Friday, and clear on Saturday
And these are the rims that I will be ordering this week.
Billet Specialties GTX20, 17" rear, 16" front.

Thanks… And the car bank account is dwindling quickly. And you haven’t heard of details or seen the motor yet.

Friday it should be in full color and saturday it should have the GM bright white rally stripes and clear.
