i was raised roman catholic, and to be honest, the picture the kid drew is NOTHING compared to the creepiness that plasters the walls inside a roman catholic church. I clearly remember my image of jesus from church: a long haired guy wearing a loincloth hanging on a cross, bleeding profusely from his hands and feet from where the giant spikes were piercing through, a crown of thorns on his head with a decent flow of blood running down his face, and a nice spear being stabbed into his rib cage. Don’t forget all the crying men and women at his feet. soo… he drew jesus with X’s for eyes, so what. ---

I saw on CNN today an interview with school officials and what not and they pretty much said this was not part of any exercise the teacher was implementing, the boy had brought the drawing with him and his name was written in place of where jesus should be. So the teacher went to administrators out of concern that something was wrong. The boy was never suspended they just sent him to talk with a professional to make sure nothing else was going on.
