# 8mm movie film to dvd conversion

my dad came across some oldddd 8mm film of him when he was a kid and all the sentimental stuff.
was wondering if anybody on here has the equipment to convert this to dvd?

theres a place on central ave that does this cant remember the name though its by delmonicos in some plaza

Make sure where ever he does take it, that they charge him accordingly. A lot of that old style film is garbage, even if it has been “taken care of.” It just doesnt hold up that well. Anyways, I dont know of anyplace local, but you can send it away through most normal places that still accept 35mm film. That being said, I DO NOT suggest Walmart’s services. They will 70% of the time do a shit rush job… I know, I worked there, and we always had to deal with irate customers, from send out fuckups. I would call Ritz camera, or similar and see what they offer, and prices, they will most likely try to rape you on cost, as not many people still do that with old film.

Normally small operated shops are the best, i had some done by a little shop not too long ago, ill have to ask my mom because she was the one who called around for me
