blew my old motor (d15b7) so my buddy sold me a jdm d15b vtec… motors in the car, but its not running right at all… starts up (check engine light on), idles in between 1.5 and 2k for about 5-10secounds, then revs to about 3-3.5k and shuts off… i swapped the whole motor+the wiring harness thats connected to the motor. but not the harness attetched to the shell… i took it to a shop and the only thing they could tell me was that i need the rest of the wiring harness and it will run fine… i can’t understand how that will fix it. anyone have any suggestions? ps. the new motor did come out of a running car… ---

its in safe mode. those vtec E computers are goofy. get a p28 ecu and get that check engine off. ---

did you change the ecu? i think you need to add some wires to the cabin harness too, like knock sensor and vtec shit ? ---
