# 93 Civic EG Headlight Issues

Not so much the “I NEED HELP NOW” but I’m totally lost. Basically, I sold my WRX and bought a 93 civic. The headlights will not turn on until I’m halfway home or if the car is sitting and idling for 15-20 minutes and is heated up. We think that it is the switch itself in the car (that you turn to power on the headlights) and there is a loose connection in it. The guy I bought the car from says it is the relay and that it is dirty, but the car has no headlight relay…
Me and Don are going to eliminate any other factors other than the switch tomorrow, but I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced this, and if so what could be causing it. When I got home the headlights turned on immediately with no delay, but after it sits there is a significant wait period before they will come on. Any help would be appreciated before I go purchasing a new headlight switch.

my civic does the same thing, needs to warm up first, i am curious to the problem
edit: do your gauge lights work?

My little brother’s Integra has had some headlight problems, but more than postive that its due to shotty wiring.
