Well i have a Torquer 3 cam from texas speed. They are notorious for being extremely hard on the valvetrain. I have upgraded springs and pushrods, but the arms/bolts were stock. So I imagine it just gave way. What’s sad is I probably drove it around like this for a month or so.
Anyways the shortblock I bought came with a turbo cam so it wont be nearly as bad.

Surprised you didnt notice that happening…That shoudl have been clearly noticeable.

Call rich at WCCH and have him do the upgrade to ur stock rockers. I have had the some problem and just recently was one of the lucky person to have the yella terra failure. After having the damage that was done because of the yella terra breaking and knowing that the only really weak point on a stock rocker is the bearing. I wouldnt use anything but stockers with the bearing upgrade.

wow a post without mentioning quik, and you supplied useful info. what in bloody hell is the world coming to.
can you do the upgrade yourself if you have a shop press?

Im not sure call WCCH thats the guy who did ur heads. Rich is one hell of a nice guy to talk to and he also knows his shit. Oh by the way I hvae some nestle quik for sale would u like some?

You would think huh… I did notice a power loss at some point, but as far as the noise believe it or not it didnt sound any different. Well im sure if you compared the sounds side by side it would be differernt, but it didnt sound like a miss.

Well, i’m being a cheap ass… Deciding on whether to upgrade the fuel rails from stock. Also 83lb injectors vs. 60’s. (About $150 difference, since 60’s are easy to come by used). Everything else is pretty much purchased, the axles should be done next week for the rear.
I spent about 10 hours rewiring the car yesterday and wiring in the racelogic traction control system. I had to run shielded wire for the tach and speedo gauge cause I had some issues last summer. The speedo was acting like the tach at low speeds. Engines back in the car. Hopefully I’ll be on the road by the end up april.

Well… I was really worried about the heat in the engine bay. It was borderline hot NA, with the front mount turbo… clearly going to be hotter. So i decided to modify it myself. I dont know if I like it… I may end up buying an aftermarket hood. I think I went too crazy with this.
I’m also considering painting the vents black to tone it down a little…:down:
