what rear end is in it now?

putting the power to the ground is going to be in the suspension/rear end and obvious tire choice…you already knew this.

Don’t mess with twin 044’s. Just buy a single Weldon fuel pump and be done with it. I’m never a fan of twin pumps for obvious reasons. I know many will say blah blah blah others use the setup non-issue but my opinion and beliefs stand firm, especially on a build like this.

Going to be awesome. Let me know if you ever need a hand. Our shops are only minutes apart you know 🙂

How come you don’t like twin pumps? Will ID 1000’s be enough for E85?

One pump dies under boost motor leans out. Rare occurence people will say but not rare enough for me to risk a motor.

Only workaround it IMO if twin pumps are going to be used it to use a fuel pressure circuit that kill spark in the even pressure drops below a predetermined level. I’ve made them before for customers. OR if you have a motor setup like this you have one pump feed half the motor and one feed the other half. Requires double the parts though(filters, FPR’s, etc) Common setup on high power 911’s. Just $$$$$$$

Running a single large pump solves the issue, combined with the pressure circuit and it’s almost non existent.

I know…it’s me being an “over complicated” nit pick as I’ve been called in the past. But that’s me and how I work, and why people keep returning to bring in work 🙂

Still going to be a sick build. Always LOVED this swap.

Im not trying to be a dick, Im just wondering… but in either scenario (two pumps or one big single) If one pump dies then the motor will run lean. Seems like you would want to run the pressure circuit no matter what.

can he meet his goal of 700-750rwhp on a single fuel pump on 93 octane???

A single 044 no, a large single weldon yes. My friend Tim has a single weldon on his 996 turbo making close to 1200 rwhp. Feeds through 16AN line :lol Just the electric motor on the pump is about the size of a 20oz bottle of soda!

Murdogg…I know you were not trying to be a dick, it’s all good. Single pump setup dies = motor shuts off. Twin setup, one of two pumps die and it continues to feed motor at lower fuel pressure = continuous lean condition. You are correct in stating that pressure shutdown circuit in any case is a good idea.

Again, this is just my mentality behind this. Not saying it’s the end all of fuel setup ideas or practice. I just make the suggestion, whether brooks decides to implement it is entirely up to him 🙂

Only have time to browse, but if 700-750 is your true power goal, go twin 255’s (with the free mod), -6 feed and be DONE with it.

And this is not just a theroy of mine, it’s what it’s in my personal car that has logged 1000’s of miles with no issues (on E85, HTA86, high boost being 40psi).

EDIT-I’d have to do the math, but I’m not sure if you’re cutting it close on the 1000CC injectors or not…?

Stock intake manifold is fine, but it’d benefit from some mild cams. HKS 264’s or 72’s would work well and typically drop in without shimming.

you can run those cams on stock springs and shims? im not looking to crank crazy rpm’s just didnt know you could do that(again i have not done much looking) i do realize the risk of a duel pump setup i just liked the idea they have a in tank hanger… would i need to sump or surge to do the weldon?
