how can he measure your clearances when the bearings are still in the package?

im telling you how to tell if they will work, get the letters off teh bottom of your block and the crank and post them and i will try to help you as much as i can

if you post the block yes you can sleave it at a later date

a “post” is a thread/stud that goes from outside the block and has slight contact with the outer sleave

why would you start up a motor if you were concerned about the clearances

acl race bearings are a good bearing (along with cleavite) but i prefer oem honda bearings because they have different sizes unlike cleavite/acl etc

i would highly suggest you bring the bottom end to a machinist to have them double check clearances with your bearings at the least (sorry but it seems your in a bit over your head)

i also agree about the cams, gsr or type R cams will give you the ability to make more power than you will ever need (unless you want 800+)

i am not building this in my garage. im building this at ECC where the instructor has been building race motors for decades.

i was joking about the startup thing. thats just the way i am.

i will gladly get the numbers and post them.
wont be till later in the week though.

not necessary and would require extra machining of the main journals as they would need align honed/bored

i just dont see that happening on a 57 or 60 trim (assuming since you said t3/t4)

realistic goals would be 400 on pump gas and 450-490 maxing out a common 60 trim turbo

if you want 500 whp i would suggest an sc61 or bigger for your goals

you may be getting in over your head, i dont think it would be a bad idea to learn how to drive a car making around 300wh first
500 is a lot of power

300whp is more than enough for a street car

300whp in a 2,000 lb car is easy 11 second car

thats what im trying to say, you really dont understand how a 500whp eg reacts unless you drive one.
people need to know how to do baby steps, its worth it in the end

some people just need to learn the hard way

looks like he has a good start, but just needs a little help on the little details

his motor with a 60 trim would be great on low boost untill he got used to it and then he could always turn it up
