# '97 Camaro SS

What motor does the '97 SS have LT4 or LT1?

LT1’s for the most part. I know there are a few specially built that came with LT4’s in them. Look for the big red intake, easy to spot. I think (don’t remember for sure) the LT4 cars had a decal on the hood for 330hp or something too.

only 100 SS of that year came with an LT4

yeah u can look for teh red intake , but many ppl do the swaps and or paint their intake, so u never know

They came with LT1s

If someone is claiming it is one of the factory LT4 cars, it will go for a BIG premium and you had better demand documentation before even considering it.

When I had my 25th and 30th T/A’s I was going to add one of them to the stable.They wanted like 30K if I remember correctly about 3 yrs ago.
