5 hours @ 70MPH = 350 miles 350 miles / 30MPG = 12 gallons 12gal\*$3 = **$36** Oil change every 3000 miles @ $75 = **$12** for 350 miles $36 + $12 = $48 $60 - $48 = **$12 $12 - $7 for lunch = $5** So you want someone to drive you for 5 hours total for $5? No. ---

I wasn’t being an asshole. I was merely posting that because when you do the math it makes no sense and that he would be better off paying bus fare. I think the chances are pretty low of finding someone during those days that is going to just be “passing” through the area. ---

No.** NO it’s not $1 an hour, a high and mighty business owner like you who bills at $200 an hour is actually losing $1000 for the time you’re not working, so you’re actually losing $995 for 5 hours, if you want to be all technical. Why don’t you bill me for a carwash too, I’m sure I-90 has a lot of bugs… My offer is really more suited to someone who is going there anyways and wouldn’t mind moving their departure time up or down to suit me and drop me off 15 miles out of the way or something. I don’t understand why someone has to $hit on a thread that is pretty much asking for a favor, wow… ---

I am just a little vexed that a person taking time out of their day to make it look like I’m putting in a post that says “hey suckers drive my a$$ 150 miles for free”, instead of just commenting “hey bud, your offer could be a little better”… Is the same guy asking for sincere relationship advice on a car forum. Seriously, dude, I got no beef with you, I am just saying, if you look at your original reply it’s like you’re damn near issuing a challenge to someone that is just asking for help. I hope for the sake of your growing business you don’t respond to clientele the same way. ---

Even for what I was asking, which apparently was within limits. But what would you know about that? You obv. see KBB and think it’s god, which would make sense if your used to driving an economy car. But if your driving a sports car, or car that has more market value than book value, you would think my price was not actually unreasonable. Do KBB on a Supra and then go find one for the same value. If you do, it’s in a junkyard. ---
