# A few dmv questions

i am going to be registering a car tommorrow. when i took it off the road, i transfered plates to my winter car. I currently have both cars on my insurance policy, and want to keep both cars on the road in my name. my brother recently blew up his taurus, and still has the plates. is there anyway i could transfer his plates, from car in my mothers name, to a car in my name? if not, how much is it to register a 94 jetta, weighing roughly 3200 lbs. thanks for any help/opinions.
