+1 for the intra-state transit permit. Cost is negligible ($8 or so). Inter-state is within NY and intra-state is wherever. Just need proof of insurance in new owner’s name, signed-over title, and bill of sale I believe. Sold a hybrid to a customer in NC who flew in on a Friday, I took him to the Cheektowaga DMV saturday morning and he then drove home. ---
