# A quick roll through the Adirondacks...

I was planning on doing my 9-hour route around Lake Champlain but my lazy ass got out of bed too late. So I went to Ticonderoga, Hauge/Graphite, then south to Lake George and back home.

OT… my dad just got a canon rebel dslr, is there any resource I could access to start learning how to take semi decent pictures?

Honestly, in my experience I’ve found the owners manual is the best place to learn how to properly use the camera’s features. It’s also on the website if you don’t have one with the camera. AMDISTHEBEST told me to read it and I learned a SHIT LOAD.

Not sure about any forums though, although I’m sure the OP will kick in with some better info.

Tracy Rd off exit 30 near Keene Valley is probably my favorite stretch of asphalt anywhere.

as AlpineSkier said, the owners manual is a good place to start. I run a photography forum with another guy [www.mycanikon.com](http://www.mycanikon.com) which is mainly for Canon and Nikon users, take a look around there or join if you want.

I’ve never been on that road, at least I don’t think I have. The Adirondack Loj Rd has some nice views too.
