# ABS + Brake light on + Spedo not working

I have a 99 durango that i am planning on trading in within the next couple weeks.

At the dealer yesterday the BRAKE light and the ABS light came on, Then when driving the spedo will go from 10mph to 50mph or it will just stay at 0mph.

Any help would be great.

_5.2L V8_  
_4x4_  
_and rear abs only_

would the rear ABS sensor have any effect on the spedo?

Rear axle speed sensor.

ABS needs to know exactly how fast you’re going to work. It can’t figure that out because your speed sensor is broken/disconnected. That’s why the ABS light is on and the speedometer isn’t working.

I didn’t think that would cause the brake light to come on though. That’s normally low fluid.
