can u use the ac fan as an electric fan on a 240sx? i guess the question is…will it keep the car cool or does it not spin fast enough? ---

Mine works pretty good. The car’s only almost overheated once, and that was in a traffic jam in Montreal in the middle of August. I just grounded out the fan relay to come on in acc mode. ---

are u using a stock shroud? i have allready modified my stock shroud to fit the fan do u mean as soon as u hit ac on the dash the fan comes on? theres no ac in my car anymore everything is gone? is there another way? like can i ground it then put a relay switch in the cabin? ---

Yep, stock shroud. No, the a/c fan relay is on a temperature switch. I just ground the relay out, so when any power is given to it, it activates. So it’s on whenever the car is on or in ACC mode. ---

nice i might do that, is this for KA or SR ? I was thinking of buying a electonic temp sensor from CT and hooking it up through that, what do you think… ---

its for ka…for sr get dual altima fans i doubt the ac fan is good enough…sr’s are turbo they need more cooling ---

> [@snowboard\_240sx](#): > > its for ka…for sr get dual altima fans i doubt the ac fan is good enough…sr’s are turbo they need more cooling I run a stock KA rad and a stock KA ac fan on my SR and I’ve never once had an “over heating issue” not even in traffic jams… My fan runs 24/7 as long as the car is running Something you may want to consider also is on JDM 180s/Silvia’s etc they have TWO elrectic fans (one infront of the rad, and one behind it) so one is sucking in air while the other is sucking it out… I myself will be placing a smaller electric fan infront of my rad just for the hell of it… ---

on the ac fan…theres two wires going into it, is one positive and one negative? if so im just going to run a relay switch to the cockpit, i dont trust all my ac stuff ---
